It is with great pride and satisfaction that I can announce that Vallorbs achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification of its quality management system recently.
What does that mean? ISO 9000 is a series of international quality management systems standards maintained by the internal bodies of over 176 countries world-wide. The standards describe the activities an organization must undertake to help assure that they meet the needs and expectations of customers and other stakeholders. Organizations must develop and implement procedures and processes to fulfill the requirements of the standard. Third party certification bodies provide independent confirmation that certified organizations meet the requirements of ISO 9001.

For many companies seeking to source materials or services, evidence of certification to ISO 9001 is evidence that a potential supplier has the system and procedures in place to help assure the supplier can meet the customer’s requirements.
A great deal of effort was expended to expand the existing quality management system at Vallorbs that dealt with the nuclear power industry and make it compliant for all customers both existing and newly acquired. Obtaining ISO 9001 certification should help open the doors to new opportunities for Vallorbs to attract and service new customers.
